June 2018 Update
Hello there!
I've been pretty quiet with this project for a while, but I just wanted to test out Itch.io's devlog feature and let anybody who's interested know that I'm currently working on this again. I was not satisfied with the variety and character of the rock formations the tool was able to generate, so I've spent about a month tinkering with it in my spare time to make it better. The update will mostly only affect rock generation, along with some cleanups of code and file formatting.
I'm happy to say I can see the light at the end of the tunnel - I've got two more parameters to implement and bugtest, then I need to revamp the UI to accomodate the new parameters, and I'll be ready to share! I'm hoping to publish an update by the end of June, but I will be doing another project for ProcJam Summer, so that may distract me from wrapping this up for a few weeks.
If you have any other ideas or issues, feel free to let me know. I can't make promises, as this is just one of many things I do with my spare time outside work, but your perspective would certainly be valuable for me in understanding how to make better tools and games!
